Extract Exchange GAL using SSIS

Hi Everyone! There is a request to have the Exchange Global Address List extracted every two weeks to send to our mailchimp server. I was wondering if there is a way to do this using SSIS. I have been able to query some accounts in AD using SSMS, but wasnt sure if anyone had any information on the GAL export using SSIS. If you have a reference link or any info or ideas on how I should go about this, please send my way. Thanks in advane for helping me out!

you can query the AD with LogParser - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24659, perhaps you can get the information using this tool? If you want the convenience of having the extract automated then you can create a SQL Agent job to execute the LogParser command as it has a COM API. I wrote about this in a blog series - http://www.simple-talk.com/blogs/2010/07/05/using-logparser-part-5/

I was trying to get to Part 1 on the blog but it brings me to the primary blog page for you. Is there another link you could send me to get me started at the beginning of LogParser?

That's weird, thanks for pointing it out. I'll get it looked into. here is the link to the first in the series - http://www.simple-talk.com/blogs/2010/05/24/using-logparser-part-1/, Google search for "Fatherjack using logparser " finds them all if you want to read the others and the links on Simple Talk arent working.

Hi I have not personally used the exchange connector, but we do use [CozyRoc][1] for some other their cools tools. It is a paid for tools, but in relation to our SF implementation it was worth every penny/cent [1]: http://www.cozyroc.com/ssis/exchange-connection
