Save changes dialog when opening PDF created from BIDS

I have created a report in BIDS (SSRS 2008 R2). I preview the report in the Preview tab in BIDS, and export the report as PDF. When I open the PDF file and then close it, Adobe gives me a Save Changes dialog box.

How do I prevent this dialog from occurring?

Edit: I believe this is problem with the way BIDS creates the PDF and not Adobe because when I open PDFs that have not been created by BIDS, they open and close without the "Save Changes?" dialog.

The version of Adobe Reader X I am using is version 10.1.1.

Edit: Has anyone else experienced this problem?

That's a problem for Adobe to resolve. If the pdf is saved by SSRS and then you go through the open/close process then that isnt anything to do with SSRS I'm afraid.

@Jonathan Allen: I believe this is problem with the way SSRS creates the PDF because when I open PDFs that have not been created by SSRS, they open and close without the "Save Changes?" dialog.

Are the ones that 'work' and the ones that dont saved in the same directory?

@Fatherjack: Yes, from the same directory, the BIDS generated PDF gives the dialog, but not the non-BIDS generated PDF.

Perhaps it's a version thing? The PDFs generated by SSRS 2008 R2 are version 1.3. When I open such a PDF using Acrobat Reader 9 (9.4.6), I don't get any save dialog when closing the PDF. Would it be possible that Reader upgrades an older PDF whenever it opens it, and thus wants to save those changes?

Can you try opening a SSRS-generated PDF using an older version of Reader, such as 9?

Good suggestion, Valentino. I tried installing Adobe Reader 9.5 and I don't get the save dialog. Now I just need to find out why version 10.1.1 generates the dialog. The PDFs get emailed to many clients, and many of them will be using version 10...

That's good to know! In any case this means that @fatherjack was right too: this is an issue with the PDF client, not SSRS...

I was annoyed by this situation: everytime I open a PDF document since the new update there is a sidebar that says Adobe Export PDF. Then, know how to solve this by reading http://answers.acrobatusers.com/Everytime-I-open-document-update-sidebar-Adobe-Export-pdf
