Connection info dev vs deploy

SSIS 2005: In my dev environment an existing project which has multiple packages has all the connection managers set to use Windows Authentication. I have began to use Package Configuration since I am now using the deployment manifest to deploy to a different server. The config file is using a sql server login and id, not windows authentication info. When the package executes in dev, does it use the connection mananger information and the deployed version use the sql login? Thanks!

> When the package executes in dev With that I assume you mean *"when the package is started from BIDS"* or *"when debugging"*? In that case, if your package is configured through package configuration as you say, it will even then use the configured values (through package config), not the ones stored inside the package. So even when debugging it would use the SQL login. If you want the package to use different configuration while debugging, just change the config XML (assuming you're using a config file) on your local machine with the appropriate settings.
