Posts per Page - Remembering the setting

Is it possible to get the site to remember my preference for "Posts per page"? So I can click to see 50 questions at a time, and it won't switch back to 15 the next time I go to the main index?

Sorry - I seem to be having a few of these low priority grumbles today... Perhaps I should take a break and get back to my "real" work. ;-)
