I need to produce a Gantt chart in SSRS with multiple ranges per row. For example - Task 1 happens 3 time and Task 2 happens 4 times. But they must be on the same row - not succeeding rows.
As an example of what I mean here's a rough diagram.
Finally: the data looks like this:
GantCheckID att1 startdatetime enddatetime
1 Data1 2012-10-31 09:14:18.650 2012-10-31 09:57:30.650
2 Data2 2012-10-31 07:33:30.650 2012-10-31 07:47:54.650
3 Data2 2012-10-31 09:14:29.650 2012-10-31 09:57:41.650
4 Data1 2012-10-31 07:33:41.650 2012-10-31 07:48:05.650
5 Data2 2012-10-31 16:57:02.210 2012-10-31 17:40:14.210
6 Data1 2012-10-31 08:04:14.210 2012-10-31 08:18:38.210

It's not easy, but it is possible if you're willing to put the work in. Check out Narayana Swamy Palla's blog for one example, or David Leibowitz's blog for another. You might also want to check out this SQLBits presentation on advanced SSRS topics.

I think I'm going to be able to crack this now - thanks v much. The key to it- got from Narayana Swamy Palla's blog is: CustomAttributes: DrawSidebySide = False.
Then it's just a matter of fiddling around with what you call as series and what is a Category.

How can I achieve the same when dates are overlapping?,If the dates are overlapping, how can we achieve the same result by placing one legend in next row?
