SSIS [2005/2008] plugins for Visual Studio 2010

Hi all. From SQL Server 2012 and future editions, I've understood that the development tools for SSIS/SSAS/SSRS will be backward compatible. That's pretty good. But it really doesn't solve the current problem I (and probably tons of other developers) have - we need BIDS2005 and BIDS2008 installed, as well as SSDT for SQL Server 2012. Did anyone out there put the time and effort into creating SSIS2005 and SSIS2008 plugins for Visual Studio 2010? Would that even be possible, or would it require a magnitued of knowledge about SSIS that only Microsoft can match?

I absolutely love the idea. I'm really tired of getting a new machine and having to install/reconfigure VS2005, VS2008, and VS2010. It would be great if we could use one IDE to touch all levels of packages.
