Transfer Linked Server along with Password

How to transfer Linked Server along with password from MSSQL 2005 to MSSQL 2008? Am aware about SSIS package but looking some solution through generating script and transfer the linked server along with password.

How you do it with SSIS? Can you post the details? I would certainly learn a new thing. AFAIK, this is not possible unless the master database is restored OR may be there is a hack?

I thought i could be done through DTS process, correct me if am wrong.

Do you mean logins of and instance or users mapping for particular Linked Serves?

no, I mean to transfer the password of linked server remote user password.

AFAIK, this is not possible through SSIS as Transfer Login tasks only transfers the server principals etc. Not the Remote Logins/passwords. But I may be wrong as I never had such situation to work upon.
