Error message when installing topology builder for lynch server
I am getting the following errors when installing topology builder for lynch server: Error: Error connecting to "\MSSQLSERVER" while installing "CentralMgmtStore". Verify that the SQL instance is running, connections are not being blocked by a firewall, and that you have SQL administrator permissions. For details, see the following log file: "C:\[Log File Location].log" Error: An error occurred: "Microsoft.Rtc.Common.Data.SqlConnectionException" "A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 25 - Connection string is not valid
Have you gone through this KB? Generally, this happens when the Windows Server operating system has a Windows firewall configuration that does not support the Lync Server database installation process
I suggest following all the hints in the error message. - Make sure that the SQL Server Instance is running. - Make sure that the instance can be reached (try connecting to the server with another tool like SSMS). - Make sure the instance can be reached from a remote machine (try SSMS both locally on the server and from another workstation). - Ensure that the user running the setup.exe has the necessary permissions to connect to the SQL Server instance and to make the changes it is trying to (I guess it will be trying to create a database) This error normally occurs if you have installed the SQL Server without making sure that remote connections are allowed or the user that is trying to connect doesn't have permission to connect.
I have checked all these tried connection using integration services from remote server i could able to connect to sql server instance. Please help
