FlatFile Connetion Rewrite in a NetworkShare

I have a package which writes data to a network share. Its runs fine for the 1st time. When I try to run the package again it fails. Giving me error the file name specified in the connection is not valid. Since the file is already present in the location. I have also checked the overwrite option in the FlatFile Destination Editor. Any suggestions why its not overwriting.. It is overwrite in my local machine. :(??

It should have been working fine, provided with the user have the sufficient permissions. In your case, I think the user does have the WRITE permission, but not have the MODIFY permission. Please try giving the MODIFY OR FULL permission to the specific user.

@palum This is a default, out of the box behaviour of the network shares, usually guided by AD policy. When setting permissions, just make sure that you are setting permissions to the shared folder, these are different from permissions to the physical folder itself. In other words, when you access the folder locally, you should click on the **Sharing** tab first and then on the "**Advanced Sharing...**" button to set the custom shared folder permissions. It is easily possible to have permissions to delete/modify files when the folder is accessed using local path and still get permission denied error when the same file is accessed via UNC even though the same AD account is used in both cases.
