How many databases and servers do you support? It certainly is not the full measure of a DBA, but I've just been wondering.

I lead a small team that supports over 2300 SQL instances and 15,700 user-defined databases.
Our production team handles about 300 instances and consists of 2 DBA's. But, they get help from our database development team. There are six of us.
I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I only manage approx 30 instances with a hundred or so databases. I feel so inadequate ... !
Thinking about it though I also do application dev, project management, system analysis and what not too.
I'm one of a team of two supporting 36 or so servers with only a couple of hundred client databases.
I do do other stuff, though - for example, I've spent some time just hacking together excel spreadsheets to run various BusinessObjects reports much much quicker than BO can manage. The next job on the list is way off-beam for a DBA - setting up Wordpress!
