Duplicate SPN names

We are getting duplicate SPN's on one SQL server. When we attempt to remove them, they just come right back.

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions>

Windows Server 2003 R2.

SQL Server 2005 SP2.

When we use SETSPN-D to remove them, do the check SETSPH -X and they have retuned just as soon as they were removed.
