I need to do some testing of SQL 2000 on a Windows Server 2008. All is well up to the point of applying SP4. I want to apply the 2273 hotfix and I get the following error: "Not enough storage is available to process this command", "Installation did not complete"
From Microsoft, I find this article which talks about a problem with the SetupAPI function. Not really anything to resolve it that I can see there.
I find a few instances where someone installed the Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable and got around similar issues but it won't let me do that either because the x64 download says it doesn't apply to my OS, which is strange.
Anyway, I thought I'd throw it out there for everyone. If you have a way around this let me know.
EDIT: I know this isn't supported. I'm pretty sure I have the same situation on my Windows 7 x64 machine.
