SQL 2008: Licence Info

Friends,

I uninstall SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition and after i install SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition. When i was installing SQL Server 2008, did not show the setup screen of licenses. On installation of SQL Server 2000 I use per-processor license (1 license in my case).

I wonder why they did not show that screen configuration permit the installation of SQL Server 2008.

I would also like some way to see how the license configuration for the installation I did. I looked in the Windows registry but did not.

I am using Windows Server 2003.

Can anyone help me?

I may be wrong, but I don't think the licensing of SQL Server is configured during installation. Windows certainly is, but I don't think SQL Server is. It's just up to the user to buy the appropriate license.

There is no licence configuration for the SQL Server software. The licence is a legal agreement only.
