How fast have you rebuilt an index?

I know i Will get a lot of different answer to this question and it is okay, but i Will give the points to the fastest "rebuild".

If you have a table with 400 000 000 records with aproximate 15-20 columns of "normal" datatypes (no bit, tinyint, smallint, etc), how fast have you rebuilt an index with 3-4 kolumns online.

Please specify how your system is configured and some details about the table.

Why i am asking? I am invited by Microsoft to demonstrate performance of SQL server fasttrack dwh at an event here in Sweden and want some performance compare.

I Will give you may figures later.

The Microsoft Technology Center in Chicago has an impressive array of hardware used for proof of concept set-ups like this. Ross LoForte: rosslofo at microsoft dot com can probably give you some numbers. NB this contact info is a couple years old so he may no longer be at this location, perhaps your MS contacts can help locate him

Sorry it's been a while since I've had access to some decent hardware and meaningful stats over large datasets. I could tell you how fast I can reindex on my PC at home, but that just wouldn't be the same! :)

It is okay Matt. I thought I would get a lot of different answers, but... Scot, I didn't want to compare with some "fantasy server", that no midsized company ever could afford to buy. Thanks anyway.
