Maintenance job failure

This is the error i am getting, when trying to execute a job. This is hourly backup job, which was running fine.. untill this morning ..the last run was successful at 8.00 am. Is this errror something related to network glitch? i tried executing the job manually.. but does not work. any idea what this error message means?

In order to answer, you need to look at the logs & figure out what's in the elipsis between Process and The "Proces... The step failed." That's where the error information is located.

Does the service user have access to the target backup directory?

it does have Dave...Luckily for the next hour run,it worked fine. I feel guilty :) for not figuring out what exactly happened, but I didnt have enuf time to go back and look.
