SQL management studio connection faliure

Hi,

I am using SQL server 2008 on my windows 7. I was able to connect through my dataserver through Management studio but now, have been facing issue saying cannot connect to data server.

-configuration system failed to initialize

-unrecognized configuration section runtime.

please let me know the solution.

Try reinstalling the .NET framework..

What has changed since it last worked? Have any patches been added or installed?

You may need to re-patch SQL Server.
