Merge Replication Errors in SQL 2005

I keep seeing the following displayed on my subscribers STATUS screen for Replication. "The change for the row with article nickame 9952911 (Return_Skid_Weight), rowguidcol ( a bunch of numbers) could not be applied at the destination. Further information about the failure reason can be found in the conflict logginging tables". I have tried to look at conflict tables, but I really do not understand as I am only 4 months into SQL 2005, and have a ways to go on my learning. What does this message mean? How can I fix it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

this may help you work out your problem. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlserverfaq/archive/2008/12/17/did-you-know-merge-replication-fails-with-error-unable-to-synchronize-the-row-because-the-row-because-the-row-was-updated-by-a-different-process-outside-of-replication.aspx . If this isnt describing your problem then I can only advise you to get reading on replication from Books OnLine so that you get to understand it. There is also a great series of replication articles in the SQL Server Central 'stairway' series - http://www.sqlservercentral.com/stairway/72401/ Did you set up the replication of have you inheritted it? replication isnt a great place to start learning with SQL Server but if you can fix it then you will have done a good job.
