I'm sorry, but what is correct? Are you: 1. Reading the local error log? 2. Reading a remote machine's error log?

Are you looking at the app error log of a local or a remote machine?

remote machin (on which sql server is installed) error logs...says The description for Event ID 22 from source MSSQLServerOLAPService cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.pl ignore event id 2413123 in my first question...thank you

Are you getting event 22 when you try to process a cube? Does it happen every time you process it?

The error itself and the fact you are trying to read the remote error logs is already your answer. Windows cannot translate all error log entries into a sensible error message. When tools/software is installed, it registers the translations for their errors. As the machine you are using to read the logs doesn't seem to have the right error log entry translations installed, you are getting the message telling you that. Either install analysis services on your local machine, or log into the remote box that is experiencing the error and read the logs there. You can then see more details about the actual error that is occurring and start looking for the real solution.
