sql server mirroring issue

Hello

I've got a problem with mirroring, the mirroring database server without witness is almost full and I want to move the mirroring database server to new hard disk. So, can anyone let me know can it be done.

Regards

Do you mean source database or mirror? There isn't a mirroring database.

Provided you named your disk volumes identical on both the Principal and Mirror servers, I believe you can add a new data file at the Principal server and that the same DDL change will also be made at the Mirror. Doing so could negate the need to move the entire Mirror database to new storage.

If you wish to move the Mirror to new storage then I believe that you will need to suspend the Mirroring session.

My advice to you is that you test the "entire" process ahead of time, in a non-production environment, so that you can validate all of your work steps.

How can you move a database without getting it offline, which means you have to stop the DBmirroring until the process is done.

By any means changes to the hardware for SQL server environment, you must stop the DB mirroring session in order to affect the new changes.... I wouldn't recommend trials of any such practices to jeopardise the SQL environment availability.
