I m using in equality **<>** operator in my query , i got one result set, in that same Query i m using **not in** operator instead of inequality operator , i got the same result. what is the difference in both, i check my Execution plan also , both are same. can any tell me the Difference
Can you post the query. The two operators are very different. - (not equal to) compares 2 expressions - `not in` deteremines whether a specified value matches any value in a subquery or list If you had a query where the subquery or list ONLY had one value then I can see how you could interchange the two operators, but you are likely to run into problems.
