SSIS: External columns for a component "" are out of synchronization with the data source columns
External columns for a component "abcd source" are out of synchronization with the data source columns. The column "col1" needs to be added to the external columns. The external column "col1 " (680) needs to be removed from the external columns. [SSIS.Pipeline] Error: "component "abcd source" (1)" failed validation and returned validation status "VS_NEEDSNEWMETADATA". I have a Data flow task in SSIS package. Source: (2005 server) Select col1 from abcd; Destination: (2008 server) abcd table. Mapping: By column name. Don't know why i am gettig above mentioned error, tried to resolve by refreshing the mapping couple of times but not of major use. please let me know your suggestions on this. Thanks.
