Anyone knows good and/or bad by enabling Jumbo Frames with an iSCSI system? Our NIC supports standard 1514 bytes and extended 4088 bytes.
In theory, does it mean the NIC has to only handle 1/3th if the interrupt requests?

iSCSI and Jumbo Frames
Jumbo frames can do well to extend the throughput on iSCSI - the ops guys at my last place swore by them. One thing though, you need to make sure that all kit on the path between NICs and iSCSI targets support Jumbo Frames - so if you've got any switches in there, make sure that they support Jumbo Frames too.
As an aside, the guys used to create a totally physically separate network for iSCSI traffic - such that there was a dedicated pair of NICs in each machine, and dedicated pair of switches for iSCSI traffic. I can't qualify how important or not that was, but it can't have been a bad thing.
