Reporting services upgrade from 2005 to 2008R2

Has anyone had any experience of this as all the information I've read suggests it should go without a hitch but I have heard from colleagues that the reports don't upgrade easily and wondered if anyone had any information on this. Many thanks

I personally havent dont an in place upgrade. As the last one we completed I used 2008 BIDS, which converts the SSRS solution for you, granted we only had 150+ reports so the efforts wasnt great!

However, a few reports didnt convert so we had to re-write those..

Once suggestion would be to test before hand to you know the effort involved in converting and re-writing.

Was there any similarity between the reports that failed? Many thanks

To the best of my memory it seems to be a selection of reports that the users created. Sorry I can be much help as it was a couple of years ago and I have slept since then... One other thing to try would be the RSScript... You can extract the RDL and the DS, then import them.
