can we create multiple mount points using a single big chunk of SAN

hi,I think this is not correct place to ask this question,but can anyone tell whether we can create multiple mount points from a single big chunk of SAN. 2. difference between mount point and drives

Yes you can. You have to slice the SAN up into LUNs and you can present each LUN to the OS as a mount point. A mount point is just a logical way to present drives to a system without using drive letters. Instead of a drive letter, each mount point is presented as a folder on one of your lettered drives - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753321.aspx
