not able to clean subscription by sp_mergesubscription_cleanup?

Hi i am using this proc at subscriber as sp_mergesubscription_cleanup 'xx.xxx.xxx.xxx (public IP)','pubDBNAME','PUBNAME' but this is not working when i use to delete like this sp_mergesubscription_cleanup 'sysname','pubDBNAME','PUBNAME' this is working how to make proc work with public ip regards bhuvan

As per my knowledge you cannot pass the IP Address to publisher parameter in sp_mergesubscription_cleanup, you can use the server name only.

so how do i clean subscription when i am in VPN

actually after the successfull replication i need to delete the subscription. i am doing this by VPN.. then how to delete this in subscriber in T-SQL or RMO or anything

I am not sure whether the following will work, but will not harm you by any way, so you can try this. Create a Alias name for the Public IP Server in SQL Server Configuration Manager and try to use that alias name in sp_mergesubscription_cleanup. Good luck :)
