SQL Developer Forum is best place to go for bug reports, here is a search for "2.1", multiple issues have been reported: link

I have been using it sporadically and so far it is working better for me than I expected, especially after previous 1.5 releases.

Totally agree. The OTN space dedicated to SQL Developer is the best place to go.

I didn't ran into major issues, but several small annoyances make me avoid it for now. For example, exporting query results to CSV file doesn't work from time to time - without any message, it just doesn't do anything. I had to disable the intelligent code formatting, because it kept deleting parts of my code. Also, I suspect a memory leak, but was never able to prove anything :)

Can only retrieve 4k characters for CLOB column. One another annoyance is that it comes with a good ERD tool but I couldn't find an option to save them or even export the image. All I can do is grab screenshots.
