Hi, I have 200 crystal reports (rpt files), all reports are built by calling the VIEWS. Is there anyway that, I need to know which report is using which VIEW. Crystal Report version 10 Example: Employee.rpt depends on V_employee, V_office. I don't want to open all the 200 reports to find this..please help me..!!!!
From what I recall about earlier version of Crystal Reports is the information about the report (data source, query, etc) is stored with the report itself. It does not use a centralized database to hold that information. This would lead me to answer your question as no, there isn't another way to gain the information you are after other than opening each report to view the information. That isn't to say that there is not some third party program out there that can automate that task for you. Best of luck. I should also put a plug out there for SQL Server Reporting Services. It might be worthwhile to look at it. :)
