Error: 7302. MSSQL 2000

Hi all. Cannot create an instance of OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "SERVERNAME", Error: 7302 MS SQL 2000. Version SQL-server: 8.00.760 How to solve this problem?

Hi!

What did you try before asking the question?

FROM which version of SQL Server are you setting up the linked server connection? TO which version of SQL Server are you setting up the linked server connection? (I can see you saying SQL Server 2000, but it's not clear if that's the host or the linked server).

The discussion in this Social MSDN forum thread suggests having a look at the SQL Server service account. Reinstalling the SQL Server Native Client is another suggestion I've seen.

But that's just guessing. You really need to provide more details.
