MS SQL 2000 Database Performance

I have a database in SQL 2000. I am using it for MAXIMO 5.2. I have installed in the year of 2005. Now database query response is too slow. Can you please give me a solution to improve my database performance.

Have you checked for fragmentation? Have you thought about archiving unused data?

This is such a broad topic, it is hard to know what to say without knowing what you have tried/what maintenence you employ and whether this takes place on a regular basis.

Please give us all the information and we will try to help you. We can not even say whether this is server or database related without information from you.
