SQL Server 2008 remote backup

we use shared hosting and shared SS2008 for our clients, developing online and using SSMSE to manage the databases. although we're very happy with our hosts, and the backups they provide, we now have a situation where one client wants to have additional external backups of their data to disaster-proof them.

any ideas how we can do this? i've used DTS before - but i understand that instead there's now SSIS, which i think is not provided with the developer edition of SS2008?

all the versions of SS2008 confuse me; i just want something cheap and cheerful that will do the job.
