there are may ways of "backing up" data in a table

  1. You can use trigger to auto "sync" the records to another table
  2. You can use BACKUP DATABASE command to backup the entire database to disk. This will backup the entire database and not only the required table
  3. You can use BCP to export the data out
  4. and many more . . .

To restore, it depends on how you backup the data basically to restore without overwrite, you will need to "restore" the "backup" to another table or database

What are you looking for more specifically ?
