sql server 2000

I am making an web application in asp.and database sql2000. I am new in this..on my laptop it is running well while when i use in another pc it is showing an error....

"sql server does not exists or the access is denied"..

I am facing this problem from last 3 days yet not get any result.. plz-plz help me.. thanks in advance

Make sure that connection string is correct and you have proper access to the server
