Transactional log backup fails

I have restored the database from production instance to test. In production instance the database was in Simple mode. After I moved the database to test instance I changed it to full recovery model and now the transactional log backup which was build using the maintenance plan does not generate the transactional logs, however such is not the case with full and differential log generation.Have anyone experienced the same as my issue.

Are you sure you don't have your description backwards? You can only runs transaction log backups in full recovery mode.
