How to reduce sql server 2005 memory?

i use ms sql server 2005. my pc is core2duo and memory is 4gb, when insert data in sql server by LAN from 10 to 12 pc, sql memory is increase and its is very high sql server is stop. In task manager sqlservr.exe is use memory very high.

So how can resuse memory of sql server.

What can i Do?

By default, SQL Server will use all available memory on a computer as long as nothing else needs it. If the computer starts paging or there are other requests for memory SQL Server will release the memory. SQL Server just using the memory shouldn't cause any other problems.

That said, you can set a cap on the amount of memory that SQL Server will consume. In SQL Server Management Studio, right click on the server and choose Properties. Bring up the Memory tab. Enter the Maximum amount of SQL Server memory in megabytes. SQL Server won't use more memory than that.

enable AWE setting it will utilize the O/S memory finally SQL SERVER memory utilization will be less.
