Merge replication time delay

Hello

I have recently started learning about Replication in SQL Server 2005 While experimenting the Merge replication i have found that the data from the publishers table takes a while to synchronise in the subscriber. i.e a minute (60sec), even if i change a single entry. I would like to have a hotstandby system i.e i would prefer the data change to be reflected at that instant when the change was made. Any suggestions on how to implement the same

Regards

replicationmerge

I would never run merge replication continuously. If you do, you are likely to see performance drop off and more waits happening than anyone would be comfortable with. A minute is about the best time, but if you feel you need updates to happen faster than this, your best bet is to look at Updateable Transaction or Peer To Peer. Both are more difficult to set up than Merge, but for this purpose will perform as required.
