xp_sendmail: Procedure expects parameter @user, which was not supplied. I am using SQL 2000. When is use XP_sendmail @recipients='
aaa.com' ,@subject = 'onetwthree' , i get message as xp_sendmail: Procedure expects parameter @user which was not supplied. Pls tell me steps to confirm whether SQL mail is configured on my server. Tell me steps to see confirm whether SQL mail is configured on my server.

This type of error happens if the MAPI profile is not setup correctly too. Check these out: - [

If user is not specified, the security context defaults to that of the user running xp_sendmail. Are u using windows authentication or Sql Server Authentication. Try executing in windows authentication. I know this is dumb but pls also make double sure that you have enable xp_sendmail in the sql server. Thanks, Kannan
