Getting Saving changes is not permitted Error

I am getting the below error when i am trying to do modifications in a table through Management Studio. Login have db_owner permission. > Saving changes is not permitted. The changes you have made require the following tables to be dropped and re-created. you have either made changes to a table that can't be re-created or enabled the option Prevent saving changes that require the table to be re-created. Any help ....

If you tried to alter a table using GUI then, GO to Tools -> Option -> Designer -> under table options Un check prevent saving changes that require table re-creation done!

Good answer indeed. But it missed out the advice to learn how to do these things by issuing SQL DDL commands.

@Murali - the fact that you have to de-select something should serve as a warning flag. Make sure you understand the ramifications of doing that - especially later on after you've forgotten you've done it. @ThomasRushton - Good point, though the question was answered. Perhaps you or Cyborg could expand on it for future visitors and to assist Murali in their journey towards SQL enlightenment :)
