We've recently seen Bob and Ben get Silver badges, but who will get the first Gold badge, and what will it be for?

"Badges? We don't need no steenking badges!"
Sorry, I'm an old movie buff... it's a bad habit.
However, I am quite tickled by my "Enlightened" badge.
I've spent all day virtually polishing it.
But, I'm betting Grant has called the shot. He gets my vote.
Dang! I still dont have a Gold badge over at StackOverflow. And my measely two silver badges took forever to get. :-(
And the Enthusiast and Fanatic badges are a lot harder to get than you might think, because its not at all clear how they measure it, but I've been on SO every day for waaayy more than 30 days and I still don't have it. I think it has to do with what time of day the measure from one day to the next, but it's sure not Midnight to Midnight for MY timezone.
One thing that I should point out is that the ability to get Silver badges, and Gold badges even more, is largely an issue of Volume. Not our volume of Answers, but the volume of Voters who read your Answers. For instance at StackOverflow (SO), most of my correct answers for SQL questions get about 1/4 the votes that the second and third wrong answers do for C, C#, C++, or Java questions. And that's entirely because that community outnumbers the SQL community there by about 10 to 1.
What that means for us here at SSC is that in order to get those badges we need to
Get more users here, so that they can vote, and,
Vote more ourselves.
I wasn't aware there was a gold one. My money's on Matt, however. He seems to be the leader here.
I think it will be a close run thing...
I think 'Great Question' will most likely be awarded to Steve - he has asked some really thoughtful & useful seeders which I am sure will get voted up as the site gains traction.
I think 'Great Answer' will most likely go to either Grant or Bob - because the quality of their answers is second to none.
I think one of the competitions will get a 'Famous Question' or 'Stellar Question' - there were over 1000 views on competition 1, and the site hasn't really got up to a huge number of users yet. I'm not sure, though, if you can get those badges on a Communiti Wiki question...
