Managing solutions, projects and reports in BIDS

Using SSRS 2005 - how do you organize your files/projects/reports/solutions? Am I missing something, as I would like the solution view to mimic the 'deployed' view So for example if I have my report server looking like this, where **bold** indicates a folder **SSRS** --> **Accounting** -----> **Accounts Payable** ---------> Report1 ---------> Report2 -----> **Accounts Receivable** ---------> Report3 --> **Sales** -----> Report4 -----> Report5 then I have 3 projects in my solution - Accounts Payable, with a TargetReportFolder of 'Accounting/Accounts Payable', and 2 reports - Accounts Receivable, with a TargetReportFolder of 'Accounting/Accounts Receivable', and 1 report - Sales, with a TargetReportFolder of 'Sales', and 2 reports BUT I would like, somehow, to see this in solution explorer in SSRS in the same tree view as I get when it's deployed. Now I know that there is a disconnect here between what's in BIDS and what gets deployed, but wouldn't that be useful?

No - that question is about how to utilise folders in the report server structure. I want to mimic that in BIDS.

Due to the way Solutions have Projects as 'child' objects but they then dont have child objects of their own then you are going to be find they wont match. The best you can do is a project per directory (at whatever level on your RS server). Do you know anyone who could write a IDE that could nest the projects in the way you need it? One way to make it all work would be to make sure your report server never has nested folders. That way every folder on the server will equate to a project and then the reports will be inside - simples!
