I have an Oracle Table with a Sequence on it.
Using my R2 SSIS package, I am inserting a row into the table, and I want to get back the CurrVal of the sequence.
My SQL is
Try as hard as I might, I just cannot get this simple task to work. I have tried OLEDB and .Net providers; I have put the INSERT and SELECT into the same Execute SQL task and in two separate ones - just keep getting errors of different types.
I can post the table DDL if you want as well.
Is what I am attempting to do even feasible with Oracle from SSIS R2?
Raj - Are you doing this as a "SQL Command" or as a "SQL Command From Variable"? I've run in to all kinds of strange problems using "SQL Command" to query ORACLE so I always create my ORA query as a variable and pass it across. Also, as Oleg suggests make sure you have a return set in order to capture the results.
