Report doesn't export to Excel properly for some users

We have an SSRS report with a header, table body, and footer. When I export the report to Excel it works fine but when another user does exactly the same, all they get in Excel is the header. We are both using exactly the same parameters and get the same results in the Report Manager but the export to Excel is different. The server is 2008 R2 and we both have Excel 2007. Any ideas, please? PS: Why does this kind of cr*p always happen when you're really busy? :(

I'll have to go with this approach. Thanks, Jack. It looks like a bug in Excel. I sent here a copy of the one I exported, that works fine in my copy of Excel, and it doesn't work in her copy of Excel. WTF?

OK, just for giggles, check the regional settings and what not. It 'could' be something like the import settings or ANSI/UNICODE differences and what not ... :{

The only thing I can think to add is to check the service pack levels on Excel...

Set up a shared workbook

Click the Review tab.

Click Share Workbook in the Changes group.

On the Editing tab, click to select the Allow changes by more than one user at the same time.

In the Save As dialog box, save the shared workbook on a network location where other users can gain access to it.

Regards,

Will
