Rights for SQL Server Service Account

I went to change the service account for SQL Server in the Control Panel and now I am getting errors on my server. What rights do I need to assign the account?

Are you using SQL Server 2005 or greater?

If so, http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143504.aspx details the permissions and so forth that the service accounts require.

If you don't want to do all that by hand, you should be able to use the Configuration Manager to change the service account, which will assign the appropriate permissions to the new account - see http://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/Administration/sqlserver2005serviceaccounts/2341/ for more details.
