Why DTS taking time to import data from excel 2007?

Hi, Can anybody tell me that Why DTS taking time to import data from excel 2007? thanks in advance

@Kev - Agree, Its either DTS OR SQL 2008 R2 - DTS stopped with SQL 2000 ...

Probably because of the drivers. Unfortunately, 64-bit drivers don't even exist, and if you have 32-bit SQL-Server then you are OK, but probably need to get the latest version of the drivers. To quickly check whether this is a problem, try to open the Excel 2007 file, save it in older 2003 (xls) format, modify your package and see if the speed to import data increased. If it did then you can either try to find a later version of 2007 driver, or work with 2003 (xls) files for now as a workaround. Oleg
