producing an rss feed

No apologies for being rather late to this party, just treat me kindly please. Short question: How do you create an RSS feed? Long question: Do you create an RSS feed with a query from the database in a fully formed (XML) fashion or use an application of some sort to take the data and wrap it in tags etc.? Either way, I have a database and a website and want to make an RSS feed for it and look forward to your suggestions/ideas.

Jacob Sebastian touched on RSS Feed generation in an [article at SSC][1]. He made fully formed XML following the RSS 2.0 specs. I am not too sure what the steps would be after that though, spit it out using SSIS/bcp or some sort of homebrew exporter. Not mind-blowing, but it is a start :o) [1]: http://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/XML/62661/
