Is there a way to Export to Excel so that a Tablix is exported as an Excel table?

I have an SSRS report that contains a simple tablix. I want to export it to Excel so that the resulting spreadsheet has an Excel table rather than just cells with data.

Has anyone done this? Do you see a way to accomplish this?

Thanks.

SSRS will export some table properties into XL. An example is a locked/fixed top-row.

If XL does not automatically create a table then do so in XL by selecting any cell of contiguous data, Insert > Table > Create Table dialog

Be certain to get all the cells in the SSRS report precisely lined up to avoid nuisance columns. If you have a label above your table make that label width start and end with one or more columns.
