Can not see BIDS,

My OS is: Vista Home Basic Service Pack 2, 32 bit OS. I have installed SQL Server 2008 in my machine. I can see SSMS, But I can not see BIDS (Business Intelligence Development Studio). Any body can help me plz.???

Did you install the SSAS/SSIS as a part of your SQL Server 2008 installation? Also, please try to open the devenv.exe directly (in case if you are simply missing a shortcut). The full path to the executable maybe something like "C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\\Common7\\IDE\\devenv.exe". If you installed SSAS/SSIS then your BIDS will have Business Intelligence Projects template installed and visible under project types. Oleg

After the install do you have a folder called "Microsoft Visual Studio 2008"? If so, that is where you'll find BIDS. If not, it sounds like the install did not include BIDS and I would suggest reinstalling and reading the options very carefully.

@Grant Fritchey: I believe that BIDS inclusion is caused by inclusion of SSAS/SSIS during SQL Server 2008 installation, so you are correct, the options have to be read carefully when installing the product.
