How to locate where the records of my webpage server are stored

Hello i do terribly apologies if this question comes of ignorant, but I am new to this and looking to learn.

Our office(customer service) uses a ticketing system, and now that i was provided access to use sql, i wanted to track the record of tickets and its results.

The problem is that after connecting to the server, I just dont have the slightest clue where to locate this data.

Important to note that we have many departments, so its a relatively big server.

We unfortunately don't know your system so we wont be of any help.

The first port of call for this would be to speak to the people/departments/3rd parties who are responsible for the software or someone with the local domain knowledge of the system and how things hang together within the database.

Now some 3rd parties don't like disclosing their IP so if it is a 3rd party software then be prepared to get nothing back from them. You then need to go and check your terms and conditions with that supplier also as there maybe pieces in the contracts where your not allowed to reverse develop or create your own reporting solutions from it.

Other than that it would be looking through the tables in the database and see what looks like what and piecing it all back together, given that your actually allowed if this is 3rd party.
