BEGINNER!!!!

transform-data.pngPlease help! I am an extreme beginner so please forgive any lack of knowledge.

I am looking to create a formula that will allow me to split a row into separate columns. I googled (Pivots) but were unable to find any useful formulas. I have provided a sample data set.

The "STATUS" column is what I'm trying to split. I want a separate column for Approved, Deferred, Denied, Other, and Rejected.
