We have a shared Box Sync folder that our employees have access to. We update the folder with Asset data and it is linked to our database in SQL. Is there a way to automate the URL linking process? For example; If we add a folder in the Box can it create a link in SQL? So we don't have to physically go into SQL and paste the link.
Does the SQL Server service account have access to the fileshare directly to monitor files, or does it have to go through the URL?
Sorry for the late reply! We have to go through the URL in order to access the Box Files.I am trying to find a way to update SQL automatically when a new folder with an Asset name is added in 'File Explorer'. I am open to using a third party app that works with SQL to automatically update information within SQL when a new folder is created with PDFs.
