How to you resolve error - "There are no SQL Server instances or shared features that can be updated on this computer" ?

I have a custered environment running SQL Server 2012 Standard, SP4-GDR. Both machines have the exact same specs. I installed the most recent update KB4532098, on the secondary first, which installed just fine (curr version 11.0.7493.4 (x64). Then failed over to the secondary machine, and started the patch on the new secondary, previous primary. Went to install the same patch, but came across the error "There are no SQL Server instances or shared features that can be updated on this computer". It is currently on version 11.0.7462.6 (X64) (KB4057116). There isn't much documnetation to go off of and resolve this issue. Any thoughts or ideas would be grately appreciated.
